Nantouar Penn An Hent Nevez is a bathing beach located in the commune of Louannec in the Lannion-Trégor Communauté area of Brittany, France. The beach is situated within a small 74-hectare watershed and experiences seasonal population increases during summer months. The beach has been subject to water quality monitoring and vulnerability assessment under European bathing water directives.

Location

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored by ARS (health authority) between 2013 and 2018, with analysis of E. coli and enterococci bacteria. Classification follows both the 1976 and 2006 European directives. The beach is subject to periodic deposits of ulva algae.

Risks

Potential pollution sources include wastewater collection and treatment systems, stormwater drainage systems, agricultural activities, and other identified sources. Ulva algae deposits have been recorded on the site between 2007 and 2016.
