Nordseestrand Loogbad is located on Juist, a 17 km long island in the North Sea with a white, fine sandy beach of equal length. The island is part of the Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer National Park and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The island's width varies with tides, reaching as narrow as 500 m in some areas. Two settlements exist on the island: the main village of Juist and Loog.
