Pente Litharka is a rocky beach located in the northern part of Paphos, Cyprus, featuring two small sandy sections. The beach stretches 210 meters in length with an average water depth of 2 meters and maximum depth of 3.5 meters. The seabed is sandy with numerous rocks, some of which rise above the sea surface. The beach is situated beneath a cliff that reaches 6–7 meters in height at its center, with gentler topography in the southern sandy section.

Coastal water body (Northern Paphos). Length: 210 meters. Average depth: 2 meters. Maximum depth: 3.5 meters. Sandy seabed with abundant rocks. Semi-natural shoreline with a small breakwater on the southern side.

Location

Located in the Kissonerga Community, Paphos District, Cyprus. Coordinates: 32.3883°E, 34.8278°N (ETRS89). The beach is operated by a private hotel establishment.

Facilities

No public facilities. Toilets available at the adjacent hotel. Private operator responsible for beach cleanliness using manual and mechanical means. Maximum daily swimmers: 100 people.

Season

Monitoring programme started in 2008. Monitoring occurs during the swimming season.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent. The coastal water body is in good ecological status. Low risk of eutrophication from macroalgae and phytoplankton. No short-term pollution incidents recorded during the 2008–2010 swimming seasons.

Risks

Negligible risk of short-term pollution. Potential sources include malfunction of wastewater systems from coastal developments and moored vessels and passing recreational boats in nearby marine areas.
