Bonnegrâce beaches are located at the entrance of Six-Fours in southern France. The beaches span 800 meters in length with a semi-enclosed configuration facing southwest. The bathing zone is bordered northwest by a concrete dike at the mouth of the Reppe river and southeast by rock embankments. The beaches have high visitor frequency and are situated near the port of Sanary.

Water

Semi-enclosed coastal bathing area, 800 meters long, with acceptable water renewal. The site includes the mouth of the Reppe river and is part of a 17.5 square kilometer watershed.

Location

Six-Fours commune, at the entrance to the town. Several parking areas are available along the beach. The site is near the Port of Sanary and the Reppe river.

Facilities

Two rescue posts connected to the network, three showers connected to the network, bars and restaurants along the beach, multiple parking areas.

Season

15 June to 15 September (summer season).

Water Quality

Vulnerability index classified as strong. DDASS monitoring between 2001 and 2008 generally classified waters as good quality, with some medium-quality classifications recorded in 2002, 2003, 2005, and localized pollution in August 2009 and September 2009 following storms. Low potential for cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or phytoplankton proliferation with no history of algal blooms.

Risks

Bacterial pollution from the Reppe river (high risk during heavy rainfall), storm water discharge from collectors, contaminated water discharge from the Port of Sanary, sewage network overflow from pumping stations, street runoff during rain events.
