Bonnegrâce beaches are located at the entrance to Six-Fours and extend for 800 metres. The beaches are semi-enclosed, bordered to the northwest by a concrete dike at the mouth of the Reppe river and to the southeast by rock armoring. They face southwest and experience high visitor numbers. The site includes bars, restaurants, two rescue posts, and three showers, all connected to the municipal network.

Water

Semi-enclosed coastal beach, 800 metres long, with a natural catchment basin of 17.5 square kilometres. Water renewal is acceptable for a semi-enclosed configuration.

Location

Six-Fours commune, at the entrance to Six-Fours. Multiple parking areas are available along the beach. The beaches are delimited northwest by the Reppe river mouth and southeast by rock structures.

Two rescue posts connected to the network. Three showers connected to the network. Bars and restaurants connected to the network. Multiple parking areas along the beach.

Season

Official monitoring season runs from 15 June to 15 September.

Water Quality

Bathing water was classified as good quality in most monitoring years between 2001 and 2008. Average classifications occurred in 2002 across all three sampling points, in 2003 and 2005 at the Manuella sampling point, and in 2005 at the rescue post sampling point. Generalized pollution occurred on 15 September 2009 following storms, and localized pollution on Bonnegrâce Les Lônes in early August 2009. The vulnerability index is classified as strong. Low risk of cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or phytoplankton proliferation with acceptable water renewal and no confirmed nitrogen and phosphorus input.

Risks

Bacterial pollution from the Reppe river carrying street wash water, accidental wastewater discharge, storm overflows, and illegal wastewater connections. Contaminated water discharge from Sanary Port. Bacterial pollution from rainwater collectors due to street washing. Potential wastewater overflow from lifting stations and network backups during pump dysfunction or blockages.
