Water quality classified as Excellent based on DDASS sampling between 2020 and 2024. Low vulnerability index. No episodes of pollution have been recorded. Weekly bacteriological analysis is conducted at the DDASS sampling point. Low potential for cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or phytoplankton proliferation with no history of algal blooms.

Risks

Possible poor water renewal during easterly or westerly winds. Potential for short-term pollution from rainwater runoff through a nearby stream, affecting water quality for no more than 72 hours. Possible wastewater discharge through the storm drainage canal and potential network overflow with wastewater discharge to the beach during heavy rainfall.
