Boliches-Gaviotas is a natural coastal bathing water located in Fuengirola, Málaga, along the Mediterranean coast of Andalucía. The beach is 1,450 metres long with an average width of 40 metres and dark sandy composition. It offers calm bathing conditions in shallow waters with a micromareal tidal range of 0–2 metres and currents that flow dominantly toward the northeast.

Mediterranean coastal water in the Cuenca Mediterránea Andaluza hydrographic basin. Shallow waters with sandy substrate. Micromareal range of 0–2 metres. Currents flow dominantly toward the northeast. Wave regime dominated by easterly and east-southeast winds. Moderately exposed to wave action.

Location

Fuengirola, Málaga, Andalucía, Spain. Access is available on foot or by car. Parking is available.

Red Cross lifeguard station, rescue equipment, lifeguard surveillance equipment, showers, waste bins, cleaning service, water sports rental, nautical club, disabled access, signage, promenade, walkways, danger warning signs.

Water Quality

Water quality classifications: Excellent in 2014, 2015, and 2016; Good in 2013. Short-duration microbiological contamination risk is low, caused by diffuse sources including land uses, built surfaces, and altered surfaces in the influence zone. No point source pollution is recorded.

Risks

Jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation risks are all low.
