Cala Piteras is a closed cove beach located in Torrevieja, Alicante, in the Valencian Community of Spain. The beach features perpendicular breakwaters as defensive structures and a rigid promenade made of concrete and wood. It is bordered to the north by Cala Mar Azul beach and to the south by Punta Prima beach. The beach has a rock and sand composition with a micromareal tidal range.

The water body belongs to the Segura Hydrographic District and is classified as a coastal category mass of water, typology 6. Water body status: good.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for the monitoring point (Centro playa) shows excellent ratings across the 2020–2023 swimming seasons. No direct discharges to the coastline affect water quality. Urban sewage sanitation does not connect directly to the beach. Potential short-term contamination risk factors (rainfall, urban sanitation, coastal discharges) are rated as low frequency and mild impact. No environmental control point (PCA) has been established as direct pollution sources are absent.
