Playa de Pinets is a cove-type beach located in Benissa, Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. The beach features a 138-metre-long high-tide line and an average width of 6.4 metres, with a mixed rocky-sand composition. It is bordered to the north by Cala Llobella and to the south by La Fustera beach. An ecological pedestrian path runs along the entire municipal coast from Calalga de Calp to Cala Advocat de Benissa. The beach is situated on a rocky cliff coast with a micro-tidal range and currents flowing from south to north.

Coastal maritime water body. The beach has a 138-metre high-tide line and 6.4-metre average width. The water mass is classified as coastal (CW Costera), typology 9, with south-to-north current direction and micro-tidal range. The area belongs to the Júcar River Basin District.

Water Quality

Water mass classification is very good. The beach is monitored weekly during the bathing season for visual inspection parameters including water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness, rated as excellent, good, sufficient, or insufficient. No direct discharges to the coastline affect water quality. Short-term contamination risks from rainfall, urban sewerage, and coastal discharges are rated as low frequency and mild impact.

Risks

Low-frequency, mild-impact potential contamination factors identified: rainfall, urban sewerage systems, and coastal discharges. Phytoplankton proliferations can occur naturally but are not common in coastal waters. Jellyfish blooms are a natural phenomenon that can occur in areas with low water renewal. No cyanobacteria episodes have been detected in the Valencia coastline.
