Pors-Er-Ster is a bathing beach located in Piriac-sur-Mer, Loire-Atlantique, in the Pays de la Loire region. This ancient seaside resort offers numerous maritime leisure activities. The beach has maintained excellent and stable water quality for more than 10 years with no recorded pollution episodes during this period.

Water

Atlantic Ocean bathing water. The area is bordered by the Brandu stream to the south and is crossed by two coastal streams: the Noë stream and the stream through Étang de La Prée, which flow into the sea.

Location

Piriac-sur-Mer is situated in Loire-Atlantique department in the Pays de la Loire region, part of the Cap Atlantique intercommunal territory between the Loire and Vilaine rivers on the Atlantic coast.

Water Quality

Water quality has been classified as excellent under Directive 2006/7/CE for all monitoring periods from 2004–2007 through 2007–2010. Under Directive 76/160/CEE, the beach received classification 10A (good quality) in years 2007–2010. No bacterial pollution sources have been identified. No pollution episodes have been observed in more than 10 years.
