Praia de Santo António lies south of the Vila Real de Santo António stadium, reached via an asphalted, electrically lit path of about 0.8 miles through a forest, or by a gravel lane offering vehicle access. The beach features fine sand and borders the Guadiana river mouth, with a walking route continuing on to Monte Gordo. Weever fish have been reported in the water at times.
