Pramousquier Est is a sandy beach located in Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer on the French Mediterranean coast. Location

Pramousquier Est, Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, on the Mediterranean coast between Cavalaire-sur-Mer, La Croix Valmer, and Ramatuelle.

Water Quality

Water quality classification Type 1: pollution risk not established. Classified as 'sufficient', 'good', or 'excellent' under Directive 2006/7/CE based on the four previous bathing seasons (2006–2009 all classified as A - good quality). Pollution sources identified include stormwater runoff from Pramousquier stream containing suspended solids, organic matter (BOD5), heavy metals (cadmium, zinc, copper) from road traffic, and potential wastewater discharge. Phytoplankton proliferation risk is low due to beach exposure to dominant winds and swell.

Stormwater overflow from combined sewer system during heavy rainfall events. Potential faecal contamination from pumping station malfunctions located 30 metres and 230 metres from the sea.
