This bathing water is located 300 metres south of the Sinello River mouth on a pebbly beach within the Punta Aderci Reserve. The area is free of civil and industrial settlements. The beach has a width of 20 metres and receives approximately 5 bathers per day. Water quality is classified as excellent.

Vasto, Province of Chieti, Abruzzo region. The bathing point is situated 300 metres south of the Sinello River mouth within the Punta Aderci Reserve.

Water quality classification: Excellent. No widespread pollution sources are present in the area. No sewerage network exists in the area. No particular measures or specific monitoring programmes are currently active.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events occur through accumulation of waste of various kinds on the beach. Waste sources are reasonably identified as the Sinello River and sea, which deposit waste of mainly vegetable origin (logs, branches, etc.) during adverse weather conditions. No cyanobacteria blooms have been observed in the marine waters of the Abruzzo coast. Rare algal blooms occur during summer; past dinoflagellate blooms showed scarce or no presence of toxic species.
