Punta Pedale is a bathing area located on the eastern promontory of Portofino, characterized by rich vegetation and residential settlements. The zone is part of the Portofino Marine Protected Area. The coastline alternates between rocky cliffs and predominantly pebbly beaches.

Water quality classified as Excellent for the period 2008-2011. No coastal treatment plants, sea outfalls, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. No cyanobacterial blooms occur due to oligotrophic conditions. No toxic algal strains have been recorded in the past four years.
