Rio Carrubo is a bathing area located at the mouth of a river in the urban centre of Ospedaletti, Liguria. The water body is classified as coastal waters with mountainous terrain and low stability. The bathing area achieved an excellent water quality classification between 2008 and 2011. The Ligurian Sea is characterised by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms.

Risks

River mouth (foci fluviali) identified as a pollution source. Cyanobacterial blooms do not occur due to oligotrophic conditions. No toxic algal blooms have been recorded in the past four years.
