Villa Sada is a pebbly beach located in the urban centre of Ospedaletti in Liguria, Italy. The bathing water is classified as a coastal water body with mountainous surroundings and low stability. The beach covers an area of 0.558 square kilometres. Water quality has been rated as excellent based on monitoring results from 2008–2011.

Location

Ospedaletti, Liguria province, Imperia. The competent authority is the Municipality of Ospedaletti, Via XX Settembre 34, tel 0184 68221. The Harbour Authority (Capitaneria di Porto) is located at Via San Lazzaro, tel 018366061.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal wastewater treatment plants, treatment tanks, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. Specific monitoring measures are not currently activated.

Risks

The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past four years.
