Rivetto

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Rivetto is a free-access pebble beach located at the mouth of the Perlo stream on the eastern shore of Lake Como in Bellagio. The beach extends approximately 100 metres and features a floating platform, mooring pontile for boats, and a bar/restaurant with deck chair rental. Water quality has been classified as excellent based on monitoring from 2019 to 2022.

Water

Lake Como (Lago di Como). The bathing area extends approximately 100 metres. The water body is part of the Po hydrographic district.

Location

Bellagio, Lombardy, on the eastern shore of Lake Como. The beach is situated at the mouth of the Perlo stream. Altitude: 202 metres above sea level.

Facilities

Floating platform, mooring pontile for boats, bar/restaurant with deck chair rental. No animal access signage is present.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference period 2019–2022). No anthropogenic activities known to promote eutrophication and cyanobacteria growth. No threshold exceedances detected in the last 4 years. No toxic effects on swimmers or lake users have been recorded.

Risks

Possible short-duration pollution events from terrain runoff, water stagnation, and various spillages. Possible accidental or unauthorised discharges of wastewater or polluting debris. Unfavourable meteorological conditions such as heavy atmospheric events may cause pollution.
