Water Quality

Water quality classification is based on statistical evaluation of measurements over four years using the 95th percentile method. Measurements from 2025 show no microbiological concerns: Enterococcus levels ranged from <10 to 21 MPN/100ml, and Escherichia coli levels ranged from <10 to 170 MPN/100ml. All samples were rated as bacteriologically unobjectionable. Water temperatures ranged from 16.1°C to 23.5°C.

Risks

Bathing bans may be issued if faecal contamination is detected, if Escherichia coli exceeds 1,800 KBE/100ml or Intestinal Enterococcus exceeds 700 KBE/100ml in confirmed follow-up tests, or if algae concentrations pose a health risk.
