Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017-2020). No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the past four years. The main potential source of point pollution is the Rodi Garganico wastewater treatment plant with discharges from civil and productive settlements delivered to the sea via submarine pipeline.

Risks

The bathing water is not characterized by algal or cyanobacterial blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been detected. No anomalous situations have been verified.
