June 28 to August 31, 2025. Sampling frequency: once per week.

Water Quality

Water quality classified according to Decreto-Lei 135/09 as amended. No short-term pollution events occurred during the 2024 bathing season. No days of bathing restriction due to short-term pollution in 2024.

Risks

Diffuse pollution sources upstream from agricultural and domestic activities. Solid waste from beach activities. High number of users. Potential for cyanobacteria and phytoplankton proliferation.
