Located in the village of São Sebastião da Feira, municipality of Oliveira do Hospital. Monitoring point coordinates: Latitude 40.31472, Longitude -7.86583.

Season

June 28th to August 31st, 2025. Sampling frequency: 1 sample per week.

Water Quality

Water quality classification follows Decreto-Lei 135/09 of June 3rd, amended by Decreto-Lei nº 113/2012 of May 23rd. In the 2024 bathing season, there were zero days on which bathing was advised against or prohibited due to short-term pollution events.

Risks

Potential microbiological pollution sources include diffuse sources upstream from agricultural or domestic activities, solid waste from beach activities, flora and fauna, and a high number of users. Cyanobacteria and phytoplankton have a likely potential for proliferation.
