Seeweiher Mengerskirchen is a shallow lake located in the Westerwald region at 370 metres elevation, surrounded by forests and meadows. The water body has been dammed since 1452 and historically served to regulate water flow for mills downstream. The lake covers 11.2 hectares with a maximum depth of 4.05 metres and mean depth of approximately 2 metres. It receives water from the Vöhlerbach and Winnauer Bach. Swimming is permitted only from a designated beach on the western shore.
