Krombachtalsperre is a reservoir in the Westerwald region on the border between Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, created in 1947 for flood protection and electricity generation. The water body covers 63.3 hectares and is surrounded by forests and meadows with flat shorelines. It is used for bathing, diving, sailing, and windsurfing. The bathing area averages 250 daily visitors during the season.
