Škaraba - Uvala Velika Škaraba is a partially cultivated beach located in Rovinj on the Croatian coast. The beach features a rocky surface with concrete structures and is bordered by trees. It has an indented coastline with a moderate coastal slope both above and below water. The beach experiences high bather density during the swimming season and is protected by floating safety lines.

Sea beach with an average length of 320 metres and width of 20 metres. Average sea temperature during the season is 23.86°C. Salinity ranges from 34.3 to 39.3 during the season. Tide amplitude is 48.9 cm. Prevailing wind direction is north-east. Moderate coastal slope both above and below water (15 to 25 degrees).

Location

Located in Rovinj at Punta Corrente. Accessible by pedestrian path. No parking available.

Floating safety lines for beach protection. Sea buoys and trashcan available.

Season

Monitoring conducted annually with samples collected throughout the year.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with ten samples per year. Final assessments cover four-year periods. Quality classifications recorded as excellent, good, sufficient, and poor.
