Sluseholmen Havnebad is a public harbour bathing facility located in Teglværksløbet by Sluseholmen in Copenhagen. The facility consists of a 25-metre swimming pool with a diving board (3.5 metres), a shallow pool with a fixed bottom and depth of 0.3 metres, and a children's pool with a fixed bottom and depth of 0.9 metres. The water is salt water. The facility is open to the public 24 hours a day year-round, with lifeguard supervision during daytime hours in June, July, and August.

Harbour water body with salt water. Water current in Copenhagen harbour ranges from weak to strong, predominantly flowing in northerly and southerly directions.

Located at Teglværksløbet by Sluseholmen, Copenhagen. Disabled parking and level-free access are available at the bathing facility.

Facilities

Lifeguards available during daytime hours in June, July, and August. Disabled toilets. Disabled parking. Level-free access and wheelchair-friendly surfaces. Online warning system (Badevandsudsigten) with warning light at the facility. Mobile application available for Android and iOS devices.

Season

Open for public bathing 24 hours a day throughout the year. Lifeguard supervision provided during daytime hours in June, July, and August.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). Risk of cyanobacteria assessed as low. Risk of phytoplankton growth and macroalgae assessed as low. Overflow structures exist to Copenhagen Harbour, with the nearest located approximately 800 metres away in the bottom of Teglværkshavnen. During periods of intensive rainfall, discharge from overflow structures may contaminate bathing water with bacteria. No other known pollution sources exist in the bathing water profile area. Sampling is conducted minimum 20 times per year.

Risks

Risk of bacterial contamination from sewage overflow during periods of intensive rainfall. Occasional occurrences of glass shards, waste, and chemical pollution including oil spills possible.
