Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020–2023. Escherichia coli: 90th percentile 20.5 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 30.1 MPN/100 ml. Enterococci: 90th percentile 76.1 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 125.4 MPN/100 ml. The area is classified as medium-high pressure due to high density of sewage pipes.

Risks

Animal access is prohibited from 09:00 to 20:00. Heavy rainfall can trigger overflow structures. Accidental failures of lifting systems can discharge untreated wastewater into the lake. Vessels may release mineral oils and/or fuel. No cyanobacterial monitoring is undertaken and no cyanobacterial toxicity effects on bathers have been recorded. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation has been identified.
