The beach has a width of 25 metres and is situated in an area with a dry subtropical climate. The beach experiences limited erosive phenomena and is primarily used by local residents.

Water

The water body is the Canale di Sicilia (Sicily Channel), classified as water body IT1907957. The beach area extends 0.7 km along the coast. Beach width is 25 metres with a shallow seabed.

Location

Facilities

The beach is free and unequipped with services. There are no signs or municipal ordinances prohibiting animal access.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. Monitoring conducted by ASP7, ARPA, Comune di Acate, and Capitaneria di Porto Pozzallo.

Risks

Heavy rainfall events can cause soil runoff into bathing waters. Treated wastewater from Acate is discharged into the Dirillo River. The Marina di Acate district lacks sewage infrastructure. Intensive agricultural activity (greenhouse cultivation) is present in the area. Malfunctioning treatment plants may be a potential pollution source. No short-term pollution sources are present within the bathing area.
