Spiaggia Mezzolago

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Spiaggia Mezzolago is a rocky beach located on Lake Ledro in the Trentino Alto Adige region. The beach has steep slopes that extend from the shore into the water. The swimming area measures approximately 26 metres in length and 23 metres in width. The beach is part of a small appendix built on shores with pronounced slopes. No significant construction work or infrastructure changes have been recorded in the water or immediate vicinity.

Lake Ledro. The water body extends over approximately 1.6 square kilometres. The hydrogeographic basin is Sarca.

Location

Ledro municipality, Trentino Alto Adige region, in the province of Trento. Located at Pieve di Ledro, approximately 655 metres above sea level. Animals are not permitted on the beach.

Facilities

Reception facilities are present. Boat moorage is available. No information on lifeguards, toilets, showers, or disabled access is provided.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2016–2019). Sewage discharge from the Mezzolago hamlet and local utilities is collected and treated at the Pieve di Ledro treatment plant at Loc. Reondi with no reported issues. Nitrate concentrations are well below vulnerability thresholds. Mean total phosphorus concentration for 2014–2016 was 14.6 µg/l. No specific point sources of pollution have been identified.
