Spiaggia Miralago

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Spiaggia Miralago is a stony and grassy beach located on Lake Garda near Riva del Garda in the Trentino Alto Adige region. The beach has a width of approximately 12 metres and a length of about 100 metres, with no appreciable slope between the emerged and submerged zones. The bathing area is delimited by buoys and markers to prevent incompatible water activities such as water sports and pedalo rentals. The beach is situated between the mouths of the Albola and Varone streams in the Punta Lido locality.

Location

Riva del Garda, Trento province, Trentino Alto Adige region, Italy. Located between the Albola and Varone stream mouths in the Punta Lido area, delimited by the former Miralago Colony to the north.

Facilities

Lifeguard service with certified rescue operator provided during summer. Multiple infrastructure and services available. Animal access is regulated by municipal ordinance.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent for the years 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Nitrate concentrations are well below vulnerability thresholds. Average total phosphorus concentration for 2014–2018 was 16 µg/l. No point-source pollution elements identified. No causes of possible pollution detected.
