Water Quality

Classification: Excellent water quality (2016–2025). Maximum permissible concentrations: Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml; Enterococci 400 CFU/100 ml. Monitoring conducted regularly throughout bathing season. Cyanobacterial blooms and tarry residues identified as occasional pollution sources in previous monitoring cycles.

Risks

Cyanobacterial blooms (zakwit sinic) recorded on multiple dates. Tarry residues and suspected fuel contamination recorded on 12 July 2025. Macroalgal or phytoplankton proliferation recorded on 6 August 2021. Turbidity and suspected bacterial contamination after night storm recorded on 31 August 2024.
