Stegna II is a bathing beach located in Stegna on the Gdańsk Bay coast. The beach has a shoreline of 100 metres and is monitored for water quality during the bathing season. It has been classified as excellent quality for multiple consecutive years.

Location

Located in Stegna, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Nowodworski County, Poland. The beach entrance is from Morska Street (Zejście od ul. Morskiej). The nearest town is Nowy Dwór Gdański.

Facilities

Lifeguard on duty, designated swimming zone, waste bins, toilets, changing rooms, WOPR flag mast, pet prohibition, information board, and facility regulations available for review.

Season

3 July 2025 to 31 August 2025. Operating hours: 09:00–17:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2016–2025). Monitoring shows E. coli and enterococci levels generally well below maximum permissible limits (1000 jtk(NPL)/100 ml for E. coli; 400 jtk(NPL)/100 ml for enterococci). Cyanobacteria blooms have been recorded as the cause of unsuitable water ratings on several dates (July–August in 2019–2025). Tar residues and suspected fuel contamination were noted on 12 July 2012. Turbidity and colour changes with suspected bacterial contamination occurred after a night storm on 31 August 2024.

Risks

Cyanobacteria (algal blooms) are a recurring seasonal risk, particularly in July and early August. Tar residues and suspected fuel contamination have been identified. Storm-related turbidity and suspected bacterial contamination can occur.
