Torre Albidona is a bathing water area located in the Calabria region along a narrow coastal strip. The beach is characterized by a pebbly shore with a gentle seabed slope of 1.3% from the water's edge to the 5-meter isobat. The sand and gravel sediments are medium-grained with particles larger than 2 millimeters. The area lies adjacent to agricultural territories south of the Avena Stream.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events characterized by surface runoff from agricultural areas have been identified. Cyanobacteria and algal blooms have not occurred in the sea and inland waters over the past four years.
