Location

Located in the municipality of Salerno, Salerno Province, Campania region. The bathing point is positioned approximately equidistant between two lifting stations serving the wastewater treatment system.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (based on monitoring years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023). Wastewater treatment is managed by an intercommunal biological treatment plant (activated sludge system) located at Via A. De Luca, 8, with discharge to the Picentino River.

Risks

Two emergency overflow stations serve the wastewater treatment plant: Station S4 'Rumaccio' on the west side (coordinates 40.6666° N, 14.7869° E) and Station S5 'Mercatello' on the east side (coordinates 40.6589° N, 14.7993° E), both with discharge channels leading to the sea.
