Valverde Nord is a sandy beach in Cesenatico, Emilia-Romagna, characterized by low and sandy seabed with irregular topography featuring rocky outcrops at cliff locations and depressions at passage points. The seabed at the base of the cliffs reaches depths of approximately 3.5–4.0 metres. The beach is protected along its entire length by a series of emerged rocky structures spaced approximately 20 metres apart and averaging 90 metres in length. The beach experiences erosion and is maintained in equilibrium through periodic sand replenishment interventions.

Location

Cesenatico, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The beach extends from the perpendicular extension to the sea of Via I. Svevo to 300 metres south of the perpendicular extension of Via A. Mantegna. Beach width is 70–80 metres.

Facilities

16 beach establishments with first aid services, toilets accessible to disabled persons, hot showers, no architectural barriers, sports facilities, and food service points.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as Excellent for the reference years 2015–2018. Escherichia Coli (90th percentile): 17 CFU/100 ml; Escherichia Coli (95th percentile): 19 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci (90th percentile): 14 CFU/100 ml; Intestinal enterococci (95th percentile): 15 CFU/100 ml. No rivers discharge into the bathing water area and no direct discharges to the sea occur. No short-duration pollution events were recorded during the 2015–2018 bathing seasons.
