The Wallersee is a natural lake located in a side basin of the Salzach glacier in the Salzburg Alpine foothills. The lake has a maximum depth of 23.3 metres, a mean depth of 13.0 metres, and a surface area of approximately 5.9 square kilometres. The Strandbad Henndorf bathing beach is situated on the southern shore of the Wallersee. The current water level of 506 metres is partly the result of artificial lowering measures.
