Wallersee is a natural lake located in a branch basin of the Salzach Glacier in the Salzburg Alpine foothills. The lake has a maximum depth of 23.3 metres, a mean depth of 13.0 metres, and a surface area of approximately 5.9 square kilometres. The bathing beach at Zell is situated on the northern shore of Wallersee near the mouth of the Schönbach stream, which flows into the lake immediately east of the bathing water.
