Woffelsbacher Bucht is a bathing area within the Rur Dam reservoir (Rur-Talsperre) in Germany. Water Quality

The bathing water profile was established in 2022. Quality assessments for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 could not be completed at the time of documentation. The next profile review is scheduled for 2026. No cyanobacterial blooms have been observed in the past four years. The risk of future cyanobacterial mass development is assessed as none. The risk of future phytoplankton mass development is assessed as none.

Risks

A municipal wastewater treatment plant (Klärallage Woffelsbach) is present approximately 500 metres away and is identified as having potential influence. Cooled water discharge from the Wolfsbach upstream is noted but assessed to have sufficient distance. Rainwater discharge is documented. Bird populations show no documented effects on the water body. Fish stocking is low. Cercariae (duck flea causing swimmer's dermatitis) status is unknown. Sediment contamination (microbiological and chemical) status is unknown.
