Via Trieste is a flat sandy beach in Tortoreto, Abruzzo, with sand comprising over 99% of the beach composition. The beach is approximately 80 metres wide and accommodates around 3,500 daily swimmers. The surrounding area consists of urban settlements and tourism-related facilities. The beach is classified as excellent quality.

Coastal waters. Beach area covers 0.441 km². The beach is flat and sandy with median grain size (D50) of 0.200 mm.

Facilities

Four beach complexes with concessions, one municipal concession for social purposes, one free access area, one fishing boat landing area, one restaurant, four structures offering first aid and disabled facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent. The municipality operates a separate sewer system serving 98% of the population. Wastewater is treated at a treatment plant in Contrada Salinello using activated sludge technology, designed for 62,000 population equivalents, discharging into the Salinello River.
