Coastal water body within the Ceriale-Finale water body. The bathing area extends 0.91 square kilometers. The area is classified as mountain terrain with low stability (CWA3).

Location

Located in Loano, Savona Province, Liguria Region. The competent authority is the Comune di Loano (P.zza Italia 2, tel 019675694). The Guardia Costiera is located at Lungomare Matteotti n. 4/b, 17100.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). No coastal sewage treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. Currently, no specific monitoring measures or particular pollution assessments are activated.

Risks

Cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded. A bloom occurred at the end of July. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions.
