Allersee is a bathing lake located within the city of Wolfsburg. It was created in 1969 during the relocation of the Aller river and was deepened again in 1987. The lake extends in an east-west direction between the Mittellandkanal and the Aller river. It features a large sandy beach on the northwest shore and serves as a recreational area for swimmers, canoeists, rowers, sailors, and anglers. The lake is an important element of the Allerpark, a public theme park for sports and recreation.
