Coastal bathing beach. The associated watershed (bassin versant) covers 832 hectares with high hydrographic density. The Coat Trédrez stream is the primary watercourse discharging into the beach area.

Trédrez-Locquémeau commune, within the Lannion-Trégor Communauté administrative area in Brittany, France.

Water Quality

Water quality classification assessed according to EU Directives of 1976 and 2006. Bacteriological analyses conducted by ARS (Regional Health Authority) between 2013 and 2015 show 95th percentile values. Identified pollution sources include wastewater collection and treatment systems, stormwater drainage, agricultural activities, and stream discharge. Shellfish quality was also monitored at nearby aquaculture and recreational harvesting zones.

Risks

Potential pollution from the Coat Trédrez stream, wastewater treatment overflows from the Trédrez-Kerbabu station, stormwater system discharges, agricultural runoff from the 832-hectare watershed, and individual wastewater treatment systems (ANC) with varying compliance levels on the watershed.
