Zona ant. Località Acquaviva is a bathing area on Lake Scanno in the Abruzzo region. The beach is predominantly composed of pebbles and grass with shrubs and vegetation. The beach has an average width of 300 metres and is located at 970 metres above sea level. The water body is classified as excellent quality.

Location

Scanno, L'Aquila province, Abruzzo region. The bathing area extends approximately 3 km. A public car park is available. The surrounding area is extra-urban with a hotel, restaurant, two kiosks, a green recreational area, and a tennis court.

Facilities

Toilets, restaurants, kiosks, tennis court, green recreational area, public car park. Dogs and animals are permitted without restrictions.

Water Quality

Water classification: Excellent. Water quality is monitored annually by ARTA and additional analyses are conducted by the Consortium managing the treatment plant. Wastewater from Scanno and Frattura is treated by a purification plant upstream of the lake. Wastewater produced around the lake is conveyed to the Villalago treatment plant.
