Balaguier is a 200-metre-long semi-enclosed beach located between Lazaret Bay and the small harbour of Toulon, bounded by Aiguillette Point with its fort to the north and Balaguier Point with its fort to the south. The beach has low visitor numbers and features a mussel farming zone and a lightly-used mooring area. It is subject to multiple potential pollution sources including stormwater drainage, an overflow channel, and port activities.
