Barricata beach is a south-east facing natural and wild beach located on the Adriatic coast in the Po River delta area of Veneto. The beach, also known as Spiaggia di Bonelli, stretches for more than 3000 metres and sits on a natural sandbar called Scanno Barricata at the mouths of the Po di Tolle river. The surrounding landscape comprises lagoons, ponds, islands, dunes, and cultivated farmland protected from the sea by major hydraulic engineering works.
