Tre Ponti is a bathing area on Lake Maggiore in Verbania with a pebbly beach in gentle slope. The beach is freely accessible and bordered by a small reed bed to the south of Via Troubezkoy. Water quality is classified as good based on routine monitoring results from 2020–2023.

Lake Maggiore. The bathing area covers 0.375 km² at an altitude of 197 m above sea level. Beach width is 36 m.

Location

Located in Verbania, Verbano Cusio Ossola Province, Piedmont region, Italy. The beach is south of Via Troubezkoy and delimited by a small reed bed. No parking information is provided.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is GOOD. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020–2023: Escherichia coli 90th percentile 24.1 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 36.8 MPN/100 ml; Enterococci 90th percentile 130.8 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 234.1 MPN/100 ml. The area is served by a sewage network with a treatment plant approximately 4 km from the monitoring point. Scattered houses upstream may not be connected to the sewer network.

Risks

Three streams within 500 m may influence water quality. Medium-high pressure class due to high density of sewage pipes. Intense rainfall can trigger overflow structures and accidental failures of lifting systems, introducing untreated wastewater to the lake. Boats may release mineral oils and fuel. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal proliferation has been detected.
