2025: June 14 to September 14. Sampling frequency: every 2 weeks.

Water Quality

Water quality classification follows Decreto-Lei 135/2009 (amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012). No days of bathing prohibition or advisories occurred due to short-term pollution events in the 2024 bathing season. Potential microbiological pollution sources include faecal contamination primarily from the rainwater network.

Risks

Short-term pollution is unlikely but may occur due to rainwater network contamination. Moderate potential for cyanobacteria blooms with historical occurrence. Low potential for macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation with no historical occurrence.
