Lake Constance at Hörnledamm Fußach is the third-largest inland lake in Central Europe, shared by Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The bathing area is located in Austria, in the state of Vorarlberg. The lake experienced significant eutrophication in the late 1970s due to untreated wastewater discharges, but water quality improved substantially following the construction of wastewater treatment plants throughout the catchment area.
