Strandbad Hard is a public bathing beach on Lake Constance (Bodensee), the third-largest inland lake in Central Europe. The lake is shared by Germany, Switzerland, and Austria without fixed borders. Following severe eutrophication in the late 1970s caused by untreated wastewater discharge, comprehensive wastewater treatment infrastructure was developed throughout the catchment area, successfully restoring the lake's ecological condition. The beach offers a dedicated swimming area with modern facilities and is monitored regularly for water quality.
