Camping Allegro is a private grass beach attached to an extra-hotel facility on Lake Orta in Pettenasco, Piedmont. The beach has a width of 66 metres and is located at an altitude of 299 metres above sea level. The bathing water area covers 0.066 km². A mooring pontile for boats is available at the adjacent campsite.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. Based on 19 routine samples from 2020–2023. Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 76.5 MPN/100 ml; 95th percentile: 137.6 MPN/100 ml. Enterococci 90th percentile: 94.6 MPN/100 ml; 95th percentile: 179.4 MPN/100 ml. The bathing water falls within the homogeneous zone Orta 3, characterised by high pressure from a high density of sewage pipes.

Risks

A lifting station and stream are located near the monitoring zone and could compromise water quality. Intense rainfall can trigger overflow structures. Accidental faults in lifting stations can introduce untreated effluent into the lake. Inadequate management of the sewage network is a possible pollution source.
