Water quality classification: EXCELLENT. Based on 18 routine samples from 2020-2023. Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 197.9 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile: 305.7 MPN/100 ml. Enterococci 90th percentile: 120.1 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile: 174.8 MPN/100 ml. The area is within the Orta 3 homogeneous zone and is characterized by high pressure from a high density of sewage pipes. A pumping station is located near the monitoring zone.

Risks

Intense rainfall can trigger overflow structures and accidental failures of pumping stations, which may cause untreated sewage discharge into the lake. Inadequate sewage network management is a potential pollution source. High pressure from sewage pipes and proximity to a pumping station could compromise water quality.
